Remain in God, our Source of life.

Remain in God, our Source of life.

The school year just began for us, and many young people and children have moved from the Bordos, because of the danger that surrounds them.  I cannot deny it, it is painful to see them leave because that child, or young man or adult represents a brother or a sister whom we have shared so much with and someone in whom we have formed strong bonds of friendship.  Things become confused in the Bordos.  Because of evil, many lose focus. The situation in the Bordos looks difficult, and for many their choice is to flee. It seems that the more the Gospel grows, danger grows too.  Many times I feel overwhelmed, burdened of seeing the suffering of people and I want to do more. But God comforts us with His word by encouraging us:

EPHESIANS 6: 10-13 :  “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

This encourages me to always seek spiritual things, knowing that behind all that happens there is a great purpose for each of these families, that the seed of God’s love has been planted in them, and that wherever they go, They go as missionaries to other communities, where God uses them in a great way, to bless others, and to the Glorify God.

Psalms 100:5 “For the Lord is good and His great love is eternal; His faithfulness remains forever.”

Every day is a new challenge, a new lesson, where instead of worrying, I have to thank the Lord for his love and fidelity. Each day I have to thank Him for each person to whom I have the privilege of knowing and serving. My prayer is that people like Lydis, William, Wendy, Nery, Doña Dominga and the others will be protected and guided by God at all times.  That they will be strengthened and full of His love at all times, and that in the midst of any situation wherever we are we can remain in God because He is our strength and source of life.

Blessings, Cris Lopez
