Our Board Of Directors
Certified Public Accountant, Chairman of Board
David is a certified public accountant and specializes as an independent auditor to companies operating in the real estate industry. He was introduced to Sparrow Missions while working with Jason Delles and Rick Davis. “Our first trip challenged me to evaluate purpose, priorities, and perspective in life.” David has a heart for young people and those who are battling the effects of addiction. He frequently visits Honduras and makes it a priority to spend time with the girls of Casitas, the boys living in Los Bordos, and the men rehabbing at Ministerio Vida. David was very instrumental in the development and construction of the carpenteria workshop at Ministerio Vida and can often be found hanging out with the men as they build tables, chairs, or even guitars! David currently lives in Huntington Beach, California with his only son, Mike.
Hebrews 3:4 “For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.”

Jason has traveled on many trips to Honduras both alone and with his wife Jenny and family. Jenny has a passion to lead and oversee the developmental sewing program that Sparrow Mission’s staff leads weekly in Las Casitas Orphanage and the Los Bordos community.
The clinics have been amazingly effective under Jason and Jenny’s supervision. They are the parents of three amazing children. One of which, Carter, joined them on a recent mission to Honduras. Jason has an incredible heart to serve the poor and the lost in San Pedro Sula. It is an honor to have him on our leadership team.
Founder and President of Athens Partners
Rick has spent his life building people and organizations. His partnership with Sparrow Missions reflects that passion and calling. He and his wife Linda have been strategic partners with Sparrow since day 1 of ministry. They are passionate about the ministry that happens in Honduras as well as each life that is touched in the United States. They are very active in traveling on mission teams and in the day to day operations of the organization.
Rick not only serves on the board of directors, he is also Ashley’s father and Justin’s father-in-law. They count it an amazing blessing to have the opportunity to minister as a family.
Attorney & Partner at Zaring & Sullivan Law Office
Dave and Sparrow Missions Executive Director Justin Ross have been best friends since childhood. Dave is the son of a minister and has had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ for many years, but recently he and his family have felt led to pursue God more earnestly in all aspects of their lives and to seek His will in terms of responding to the Biblical commands to take the Gospel to all nations and to help those in need.
Dave’s trip to Honduras in October 2010 was his first experience with the incredible ministry that Sparrow Missions is doing. He and his wife, Jennifer, love Honduras and its people and have been on and helped lead many trips since, and Dave remains very humbled and excited to have the continuing opportunity to be involved through his participation on the Board as a founding member. Dave and Jennifer and their children Ruby, Jackson, and Eli (and another daughter coming!) are currently living in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Ruby and Jack came to Honduras with Dave for the first time in February 2014, and they expect many more trips in the future to minister together as a family and with their church, Christ Community Church in Shelbyville, where Dave serves as one of the Pastors/Elders. All for His glory!
Director, Moss Adams
Jason has been working with Sparrow Missions since 2010 when he made his first trip to Honduras with a team of 20 people from all across the country. He was initially prompted to go when he was reading “Experiencing God – The Workbook” by Henry & Richard Blackaby and Claude King. The book recommends that Christians look to where God is at work and jump in to participate actively. It was obvious to Jason that God is at work in San Pedro Sula and is using Sparrow Missions to accomplish His will. Jason loves jumping in with two feet when he gets an opportunity to visit each year and share God’s love with the children, men, and women throughout all of Sparrow Missions’ many ministries in San Pedro Sula.

Stephen has a heart for the hurting, broken, and abandoned. Sparrow Missions pursuit of compassionate ministry so that “Not one is forgotten by God” is a primary reason that Stephen considers it an honor to serve on the Sparrow Missions Board. Founder and Executive Director of Sparrow Missions
Justin went on his very first mission trip to Panama in 1993, and his heart and life were forever changed. Since then, he has felt a strong calling on his life to be a part of international missions and to mobilize other believers to get involved in eternal work for the Kingdom of God. Over the past 21 years, he has trained or led over 1,300 missionaries to more than fifteen countries. In 2009, Justin and his wife, Ashley, served as full time missionaries in San Pedro Sula for 15 months, and during this time the organization now called Sparrow Missions was formed.
In May of 2013, Justin and Ashley moved back to San Pedro Sula, where they currently live and serve as full-time missionaries. Justin oversees the daily ministry taking place in the city and is responsible for training and leading local staff members. Ashley actively leads the women’s discipleship ministry, while also managing and coordinating short-term mission teams who are staying at the ministry house.
Justin and Ashley are also in the process of adopting two little additions to their family. Aaron and Graciela are two beautiful twins who Ashley and Justin welcomed into their family at birth!
