It is inspirational to see the personal and spiritual growth that is occurring in the lives of people living in the Bordos! In spite of the highs and lows, losses and injustices, which hurt more than imagined, God is faithful and His word comforts us.
But every new program, lesson or opportunity given, would be COMPLETELY in vain if God was not the center and focus of our actions. Without HIM, everything takes on an earthly focus, which leads hearts filled with greed, frustrations, etc.
The only thing that can truly change our life is the Word of God. It is living, provides life, and is always pointing us in the direction of His Spirit. No one can become complete without hearing the Word preached and the power of God to provide salvation to everyone who believes. (2 Timothy 4:1-2; Romans 1:16-18).
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” – Romans 1:16
All of this is a daily remind er for my life. What I do on this earth can have an eternal impact. The opportunities that God provides lead to personal growth, but they ultimately His plan to continue advancing His purpose. I become a tool of His, always glorifying His name, recognizing that displaying His love is the best use of my life.
When we listen to the voice of God and obey Him, He moves us to humility and give us a more intimate level of recognition. We begin to see His majesty at work and it leads us to a offering Him our praise and worship. We offer Him all we have. We offer Him our lives. His spirit then lights our path and our lives draw people to Him.
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. – Colossians 3:1-4
The power of God and His Word is real. I am seeing it every day. As young people study, sing praise, or seek Him in prayer.
My prayer is I never move Him from my focus. He must always be my center.
God Bless, Cris
