In Honduras, the sad reality is many vulnerable kids are forced to drop out of school due to various reasons. Many never return.

Thanks to God and you, we can change that reality and provide quality education for 184+ kids from Rancho Bonito. Doors are being opened, and futures are looking bright!

We’ve been reflecting on how much the Sparrow Academy has grown in 6 years!

We started in a small house with just 70 students, with much uncertainty but faith in God’s plan for these kiddos. Now, God has provided a campus with spacious classrooms, a playground, a big field, and medical and therapy facilities where we educate and disciple over 184 students from the Rancho Bonito community!

Throughout the years, we’ve seen a beautiful thread of discipleship grow. It all started with Justin and Ashley Ross coming to Honduras with a servant’s heart to share God’s Word among the forgotten of the city. Then, God answered a prayer of bringing a native leader that could carry out the ministry. A small youth group was born in Rancho Bonito led by Cris Lopez, our National Director, and now we can see how God has worked and has multiplied disciples in the community!

It all started back in 2009 with a women’s discipleship class. We didn’t know God’s exact plan for this community, but we knew He had a BIG purpose.

Today, in 2022, we can see God’s faithfulness to this community. What used to be ordinary is no longer so. Through DISCIPLESHIP, EDUCATION, and DEVELOPMENT, we now see children going to school instead of begging for money on the streets, students graduating to continue their higher studies in college, disciples making more disciples, and lives filled with PURPOSE only God can give. God has moved and transformed Rancho Bonito!
